FELLOW: 

MEMBER:

1. Should be persons not under twenty-five years of age.
2. Must have, for not less than four years, engaged in the practice of Engineering and have for a sufficient period, held a position of responsibility in Production Engineering or engaged in the teaching of engineering upto standards recognised by the Governing Body.
3. Must have passed examinations as may from time to time be approved by the Governing Body.

Note: Members may, on attaining the necessary age, qualification and experience, make application to be transferred to the grade of Fellow.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER:

1. Should be persons not under twenty-one years of age.
2. Have received adequate practical training and are engaged in production engineering.
3. And have passed such examinations as may be prescribed by the Governing Body's examination regulation for the time being.

Note: Associate Member on attaining the age of twenty-five years and have such other qualifications as may be prescribed by the Governing Body, may apply for transfer to higher grades of membership.

STUDENT MEMBER: 

1. Should be persons not under sixteen years of age.
2. A pupil of an Engineering Institution leading to an educational qualification recognised by the Governing Body. OR
3. Possess an educational qualification recognised by the Governing Body as exempting therefrom and are following a form of practical training and technical education in engineering.

Organizations like manufacturing industries and engineering educational & research institutions can become ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBERS and can nominate their people to represent the organization.
